The Defender 45R
Defender 45R — RDC Product Description
Rustic American Craftsmanship. Full-Size Concealment. Peace of Mind.
The Defender 45R Concealment Shelf combines the character of handcrafted rustic furniture with generous concealed storage, creating a substantial statement piece that looks right at home in a living room, bedroom, office, entryway, cabin, or beneath a television.
Handcrafted from solid American white pine, each Defender 45R is individually distressed using traditional techniques that preserve the natural grain, knots, and character of the wood. Because of these natural variations and the hand-distressing process, no two shelves are exactly alike.
Behind its rugged furniture-quality appearance is a spacious hidden compartment designed to discreetly store firearms, valuables, important documents, family heirlooms, and other belongings you want kept out of ordinary sight.
Generous Concealed Storage
At approximately 45" wide × 12" deep × 4" tall, the Defender 45R provides enough concealed space for larger belongings while maintaining the appearance of a substantial floating shelf or mantle.
Its size makes it particularly well suited for long-gun storage, including many rifles and shotguns, while providing additional room for compatible accessories or other valuables.
Secure RFID Access
The concealed compartment is protected by an RFID locking system, allowing authorized access without a visible lock or keypad.
Simply present one of the compatible RFID devices at the designated location to release the locking mechanism and access the concealed compartment.
An emergency battery backup provides additional peace of mind.
Customizable High-Density Foam Interior
The Defender 45R includes a 1.5" thick adhesive high-density foam insert that can be customized around the belongings you intend to store.
The foam can be carefully trimmed to create a fitted interior for firearms, magazines, optics, accessories, valuables, or other personal items, helping keep everything organized and securely positioned inside the compartment.
Easy Installation
The Defender 45R is designed for installation with standard 2×4 wall construction, eliminating the need for sheetrock cutting or additional structural support under normal installation conditions.
Mounting hardware and easy-to-follow installation instructions are included, making installation straightforward for most homeowners.
